    "All I Really Want to Do" was the second single by the American folk rock band the Byrds, and was released on June 14, , by Columbia Records (see in music). The song was also included on the band's debut album, Mr. Tambourine Man, which was released on June 21, The version of the song released as a single is a different vocal take to the version found on the Mr. Tambourine Man.

    Believing that what worked once could work again, they pulled out an alternate take of the group's version of another Bob Dylan song, "All I Really Want To Do", which had appeared on the Mr. Tambourine Man LP, as the second album. Here, however, was where the embarrassment of riches that the Byrds' sound represented actually cost them some success.

    The first Byrds album was released in June of and it included the band's first single Mr. Tambourine Man with I Knew I'd Want You which had been released a couple of months earlier. For the single, producer Terry Melcher brought in studio musicians from L.A.'s famous Wrecking Crew to play all the instruments except for the 12 string guitar /5().
