Of Entropy and Life Denial On tracks such as "Adiabatic Bonds Of Consanguinity" and "Consecration Of The Temple" the guitars are powerful and make good use of harmonized leads. They often play riffs for a short amount of time before moving on to something completely different; this may come across as annoying (having the riff and rhythm.

Perhaps influenced by the French prog rock bands of the s and '80s (Magma, etc.) known for their blend of hardcore-style speed and dazzling chops, Of Entropy and Life Denial is an epic onslaught of tricky time signatures, complex guitar riffage, and whiplash rhythms. The technique is flawless, but there's evident passion in the playing that.

After forming back in , Merrimack have only just got around to releasing their second full length album in the form of 'Of Entropy and Life Denial', and after the band's debut passed me by back in (much to my annoyance, I might add), I was still intrigued enough to check this out due to the fact that their compilation of demos was also receiving good reviews by fellow underground.

Carnaceral (Of Disease and Decease) Adiabatic Bonds of Consanguinity (Of Entropy and Life Denial) A cult name in the Black Metal scene, MERRIMACK unleashes a terrorizing attack of dirty decibels and soul-searing melodicism while retaining a frightening clarity. A breath of pestilent air rises up from the underground: Of Entropy and Life Denial!
